We' ve got to pawn them dad!
ulicknormanowen7 March 2024
Mr Lamy is the owner of an aperitifs factory , in the sweet south of France;full of bonhomie , he enjoys a thriving business and does not care if his beloved son doesn't replace him when he retires ; this boy is reportedly the toast of Paris town , a musician who plays complicated music jazz .Actually this not-so-young son did not hit the big time; he and his mates ,his orchestra ,are compelled to pawn their instruments !To make the matters worse, father is coming to town to see his offspring shine in the lights of Paris! It's actions station! The orchestra decides to make daddy believe they are highly successful :so some of their pals will play VIP in their night club which will be would be sold out;besides three girls vie for the leader of the band .

Camille Sauvage being a musician (it's his orchestra that is featured in "Adieu Paris " ,the film is a pretext to include a lot of music actually closer to light music than to jazz ; the screenplay is appallingly trite and the film can only appeal to people who dig this kind of music hall stuff.
