Merely OK hardcore porn comedy
lor_12 December 2014
Wasting a clever title (and even forgetting to include the crucial lead-off "A", CADILLAC NAMED DESIRE is just a Walter Mitty example of sexual day dreams substituting for the real thing. Cast does a decent job, but director chose anonymity.

Lou Mann fronts in the main, non-sex role as Arnold Broomsteader, a nebbishy illustrator working at American Automobile Magazine, who envies his stuck-up fellow employee Harvey Prescott (Jesse McKinna). Sharon Thorpe, outfitted to be unrecognizable in large spectacles, is delightful as the office's Girl Friday, who delivers fine comic acting and her usual XXX performance.

Title derives from a Harvey daydream in which he steals a red Cadillac convertible and picks up Sharon (sans glasses),. She masturbate in the backseat and then gives a gangster Mr. Big (Oliver Naireh, the film's scriptwriter) a blow job. They hump on the Cadillac's front hood in a memorable image derived from guerrilla filmmaking, as the sex scene is shot while the car is actually driving down the highway.

A very silly orgy in the office has four beauties (including Justina Lynne) nude with their posteriors sticking out to be serviced, and Sharon even masturbates with a cigar. Another inventive (and equally pointless) set piece has a cop stopping a car for speeding, and the two lesbians in the front seat handcuffing him to a pole, then putting on a show. Toni Scott and Valerie Franklin liven things up in this sequence.

Arnold later imagines himself as superhero Captain Avenger fighting a mad-scientist who deflowers "virgin" Sharon (playing a nurse in a wig) with a Rube Goldberg styled dildo machine.

This effective merging of comedy and erotic stimulation needed a much better script (Naireh apparently was more interested in getting laid than doing a good job of craftsmanship) to constitute a real movie. But it's far better than the scores of improvised would-be porn comedies out there.
