This is where it began

For all you fans out there of the Red Green Show, this is where it all began. Steve Smith, was able to convince the small independent T.V. station of CHCH in Hamilton, Ontario (since bought out by a network), to pick him up for a year. Later, it was off to the CBC. When his wife, Morag, decided to go back into the business world, Steve did it on his own and created the Red Green Show.

This series usually involved a couple of skits, usually quite good ones, and then some musical spots. One song is usually rather comedic, and then the final song is usually done alone by Morag, who had a reasonably good voice.

Some great stuff in this series, if you can find it anywhere.

Smith & Smith

I saw in the details of "Smith & Smith" the following: Some great stuff in this series, if you can find it anywhere. For anyone who's interested, in Canada it's now being shown on Canada's version of TVLAND every day at different times. Usually it's 7 AM, 630 PM, 230 AM Central time. I don't know if it's on any other stations or networks either in Canada or the US. I hope this helps any "Smith & Smith" fans out there.

I vaguely remember seeing the show back then (I think it was early 1980s on CKND-TV now Global), and when I first saw The Red Green Show on CBC-TV, I find it quite ironic that I vaguely remember this guy (although this time I thought his real name was Red Green!!). Some time down the road I finally realized who it was. I'm not really a fan of Red Green, although I get a kick out of it as I channel surf. I know it's very popular in the US.
