Delicious Swedish cult-caper/thriller with a comic touch and sexy female lead...
ozjeppe5 December 2001
Very popular in its time in my native country Sweden, this stylish and flashy blend of comedy, suspense and police thriller elements about a sexy female con/caper artist, her personally justified quest for revenge and her elusive runs from the law, is definitely worth checking out should it ever come on for a re-run. The 70's campy clothing and hairstyles adds to its appeal plus a sultry Anna Godenius in the lead... pure cult-value!

One of the Highlights of the 70s
merrywater5 June 2015
This show, a mini-series of six episodes, was one of the highlights of Swedish Television productions in the mid-70s. The prolific protagonist was played spot-on by Anna Godenius whom we otherwise saw sparsely of. She made a magnificent appearance in this show as the sociopathic female con artist who possesses an amazing capability of altering her looks, speech and demeanour.

Leif Krantz, who previously directed two epic teen dramas (Kullamannen and Kråkguldet, both of them reviewed by me at IMDb) failed somewhat in this production by not introducing the main character properly; we never get to know who she is, what her real name is, etc. She seems to have an accomplice, an air-stewardess with whom she's confident, but that doesn't make much sense to the viewer as the nature of their relationship isn't displayed further. On the other hand, two men trying to reveal her identity (one of them being a cop) makes for a subplot.

There are lots of depressing studio based sequences that bring along the stereotypical cabined feeling of 70s TV.

All in all rather good entertainment, however, especially for nostalgists.

Too many episodes
royaumeuni8 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
There were too many episodes and nothing happened for large parts. The last episode was almost a pain that should have been a separate episode by itself. The cops were both brilliant and stupid at the same time. They managed to track down the main character in the most impossible ways, but at the same time they lost her once she was captured. What happened next, nobody knows and who cares? This was an attempt to copy Arsène Lupine from 1971 or The Rogues from 1964-65. It fails badly. These series were so much better and more chosen with continuity and with a twinkle in the eye. There is a small emotional value if you lived in Sweden during the 1970s. Unfortunately, there are far too few environmental descriptions. The series would have been much better if there had been more of that.
