Amazingly contrived...indifferently written (at best).

"Micky and Nora" is a failed TV pilot that was aired as part of "CBS Summer Playhouse"...a show that played a variety of failed pilots. Perhaps it was done simply to make use of the money spent on them or perhaps the network wanted to see if the public had any interest in the shows. All I know is that this one wasn't very good and I can see why it didn't make it.

Mickey is a lawyer who used to work for the CIA as a spy. His brand new wife, Nora, keeps hearing from their idiot friends that Mickey MUST still be a spy. She assures them he isn't....but everything Mickey does in the show seems to indicate he's a lying jerk. Soon, a deposed African leader arrives as well as another spy...and they simply won't listen to Mickey and Mickey won't scream "Go Away!" to them. All the while, Nora is aghast.

Is it funny? No. It comes off as very forced and contrived. So many writers COULD have made such a plot interesting or funny...but not these ones. Overall, a tedious and difficult to love show that deserved to never go beyond the pilot stage.
