[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for “Feud” Episode 8, “You Mean All This Time We Could Have Been Friends?”]
Ryan Murphy knows what you thought “Feud: Bette and Joan” was going to be. And he believes that the show worked because, ultimately, it wasn’t.
“I think people were maybe thinking it was gonna be just a campy, bitchy exploration of these two women,” he told IndieWire from the set of “Versace: American Crime Story,” which has just begun filming. “But I was never interested in that. I was really interested in the sadness and the regret and the pain and also the reward, and just to show how hard they worked. Not only at their careers but on their facades.”

“American Horror Story” will wrap up its sixth season “Roanoke” in the next few weeks, but creator Ryan Murphy is already looking ahead to what’s coming up in the “Ahs” universe. During the Ryan Murphy and Friends panel at EW’s PopFest Sunday, Murphy followed up on previous comments about returning to the fan-favorite “Coven” season of the series, which followed a coven of witches living in New Orleans fighting for survival. Murphy confirmed that the return to “Coven” would not be a prequel or a sequel, but would rather be a crossover with the anthology series’ first season “Murder House.”

“The People V. O.J. Simpson,” the first season of FX’s true crime anthology series “American Crime Story,” received widespread critical acclaim, especially for Sarah Paulson’s performance as Marcia Clark, the head prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson murder trial. Paulson is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or a Movie at this year’s Emmy Awards, and Indiewire’s own Liz Shannon Miller says that, “in a cast packed with great performances, Paulson became the real star of the show.” Watch an exclusive clip from the home video release which features Paulson discussing the role.

Four episodes into American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, FX’s dramatized examination of the famous murder case, Faye Resnick’s tell-all about her friendship with murder victim Nicole Brown Simpson hits bookstores.
The hastily slapped-together, tawdry memoir is loaded with tales of drugs, sex and violence; it’s cheap trash made even more offensive by the way it turns the deaths of two people into nothing more than a lurid grab at the worst kind of fame.

Fox & Friends host Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked a guest commentator Monday morning why those involved in the #BlackLivesMatter movement haven't been classified as a hate group. The group was discussing the events that took place at the Minnesota state fair, where a group of protesters chanted, "Pigs in a blanket/ Fry them like bacon." They also discussed African-American suspect Shannon J. Miles, who allegedly shot and killed Deputy Darren Goforth in the back. When conservative commentator Kevin Jackson joined the conversation, Hasselbeck asked, "Kevin, why has the #BlackLivesMatter movement not been classified yet as a hate group? I mean, how much more has to go in this direction before someone...

Community at a sci-fi convention? It sounds like a match made in heaven. So why didn't this episode raise many laughs?
This review contains spoilers.
4.3 Conventions of Space and Time
After last week’s spooky/Daddy issue fest, this week the gang spends a second week away from the rarefied Greendale air, and ‘treats’ themselves to a trip to Troy and Abed heaven – an Inspector Spacetime Convention. While, generally, anyone who isn’t Troy and Abed would rather eat their own feet than go to a sci-fi convention, thanks to the handy proximity of some mountains to the convention centre, the etiquette of pretending to enjoy something your other half is obsessed with, and Pierce’s inability to take a hint, the whole gang descends on the nerd-fest.
In an ideal world, Study group + Road Trip + sci-fi convention should equal Community comedy gold. This is,...

Welcome to another week of TV Or Not TV where I really wanted to like The Cape and SNL.
After finally having the opportunity to watch The Cape I can see where the creators of the show wanted to go with it, but I think they may have fallen victim to executive involvement. The first hour of the two-hour premiere would be what most would refer to as the origin story. We get to see how the character of Vince Faraday evolves into The Cape. We get to see where he gets his training and his titular cape. We get to see how he gets teamed up with the blogger Orwell and we see where his motivation to become a super hero comes from. The problem is this was just too much to cram into the forty-four minutes that the show had. The pilot came off as rushed and in some regards forced,...
