Divas *ARE* Forever!

Shirley Bassey in her latest performance filmed live in Antwerp, Belgium, during the Diamond Award Festival.

She performs most of her classics including "Diamonds Are Forever", "If You Go Away", "Goldfinger" and everyone's favourite, "Big Spender"!

The DVD also includes some behind-the-scenes footage - you can follow her entire tour backstage and on the road with personal and surprising interviews with the original Bond girl, and just how a diva gets her wants and needs taken care of by an attentive entourage.

After watching this spectacle, all I can say is, "YOU GO GIRL!"

Nobody Does it Like Shirley

This DVD is a must have for all Bassey fans. Both the concert and supplemental program should serve as a training guide for all aspiring divas. The emotion behind her voice and the power of her persona shine through. Sit back, crank up the volume and put on a tiara if you have one - Dame Shirley ROCKS! Her rendition of "Big Spender" is worth the price alone.

Time to slow down

Shirley Bassey is a legend, but now past her prime. This poor production changed my view of the lady, portraying her as a self-important Diva (which I guess she is) who ocassionally pushes her vocals beyond their range (and she slams Tina Turner for doing exactly that in this production). The songs in general are ok, but the quality and content of the cut-scenes inbetween songs make it a difficult journey to the end of the production.
