Fortnite fans, it’s time to say goodbye to one of the game’s most creative modes. Creative Royale has officially been announced to be removed from the game, and the reaction among fans is completely divided.
Introduced in November 2022, the game mode will now be saying its goodbye in 2024. While some seem upset over the decision and Epic Games’ prioritization, others don’t feel as bad to see the feature go.

Fortnite is one of the most popular live service games of all time due to its creative and competitive nature. Epic Games was wise enough to reach out and collaborate with other popular franchises like Marvel and feature their heroes as purchasable skins.
Fans of the comic book franchise will be thrilled to know they can now be the superhero they have always wanted to be in the form of cosmetic items. The recent success of Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97 will be a great way to attract fans of the series to the world of gaming.
Players Will Be Able to Play as the X-Men in Fortnite Soon Fortnite will introduce a new batch of Marvel skins, including the heroes of X-Men 97.
Epic Games has always been known to incorporate the latest trends into their battle royale game. This has led to the release of several skins that players can wear into battle.

If you’ve played Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Skyrim, Fallout 76, or Starfield, amongst others, there’s a big chance you’ll have experienced some of Nate Purkeypile’s work without necessarily realizing it. A big part of the success of the modern-day Fallout franchise, the developer left Bethesda in search of a new challenge after developing Starfield and found it in a big way with The Axis Unseen.
Solo-developed, the heavy metal, open world, urban legend, and creature hunting game are soon to be released, and whilst there are some pretty clear inspirations from his time on the aforementioned Bethesda games, The Axis Unseen looks to have refined a great deal of them, and made them all the better.
We were lucky enough to speak to the man himself about all manner of things, from Fallout to his upcoming game and even some Thunderdome reveals!

Let’s travel back to 2008 when the summer hit its fever pitch of the long-awaited Christopher Nolan superhero epic, The Dark Knight. I could remember it like it was yesterday when I was a sophomore in college reading up on all the production coverage I could find and rewatching those amazing trailers, following that online campaign and viral marketing, which was way ahead of its time. My presale tickets were bought; I was amped beyond words for what I was about to witness. I think it was the longest wait in a theatre line as well, clocking in three hours before seating on opening night at my local IMAX. Because, at that time, seats weren’t reserved, and it was a battle royale trying to get that coveted middle-row seat. Picture “Running of the Bulls” in Spain, but with people trying to get that damn middle row. Boy, how far...

Back in 2012, Ubisoft decided to show their fans an incredible new game called Watch Dogs. This game was to start a brand-new IP featuring a protagonist who could hack everything he could see. The first thing gamers noticed about that game was its visuals. Then came the gameplay: a character running around a city, hacking traffic signals and bridges using his cell phone. It looked just incredible.
Ubisoft saw much promise in this new game, and fans were pretty hyped too. This game seemed like one’s ultimate power fantasy had come to life. Eventually, the game was released to a mixed-to-positive response from fans as well as critics. This is how the Watch Dogs franchise started, but no one saw it ending so soon.

Fortnite is one of the most popular titles and Epic Games is taking full advantage of the horsepower of modern consoles to put it out as the best-looking game possible. Performances may vary, there are a handful of versions of the game that may look dated but those days are numbered.
The game will now be moved to a much more advanced version of the game engine called Unreal Engine 5.4 and the capabilities of the said engine are quite promising. Developers will have access to a variety of tools for them to use and make something truly remarkable.

A previously reliable leaker of Ubisoft info claims that open-world hacking videogame franchise Watch Dogs has been quietly shelved.
In videogame terms, things have been rather quiet on the Watch Dogs front in recent years, with the most recent title in the open-world hacker franchise, Watch Dogs: Legion, getting its last update in January 2022.
There may be a good reason for this. According to Twitter/X user j0nathan (via Push Square), who has form when it comes to leaking Ubisoft information, the publishing giant has quietly shelved Watch Dogs. In the process, the rumour goes, it also cancelled some sort of battle royale mode or spin-off, which possibly would have been added to Watch Dogs: Legion in an update.
“Watch Dogs is basically finished at this point,” j0nathan wrote (as translated from French via Google). “The flop of Legion destroyed the licence’s projects (including a pretty original battle royale).”

Fortnite Battle Royale has been here for 7 years now, and it would be an understatement to say that the game has evolved. Rather, the massive battle royale game has managed to stay true to its roots while also growing into one of the most popular games in the industry.
However, the game’s humble beginnings were anything but revolutionary. In fact, the very inception of battle royale in Fortnite was an idea that was cradled in an Uber cab ride out of all places. Based on an interview, it seems that Donald Mustard (among a few others) came up with the idea when traveling to a meeting with Disney.
One Cab Ride and an Evolutionary Entry Into Modern-Day Gaming Who could have thought that one of the biggest games was ideated in a cab ride?
In an interview with Game File, the creative genius behind Fortnite explained how the game came to be.

Krafton’s free-to-play battle royale Pubg was released back in 2017 and swiftly took the top spot in the battle royale titles list as players swarmed to play the game. The game has recorded its highest player count at 3.24 million, which is enough to show the game’s popularity and player base.
However, with the evolving battle royale genre and new titles like Fortnite dominating the scene, the once-popular title has been almost forgotten. The developer has now come up with a plan to compete with now-behemoth shooter titles by enticing its lost players with nostalgic additions.
Pubg Is Bringing Back the Good Old Early Access Days Krafton is bringing back the original Erangel map in Pubg.
Pubg was the most popular battle royale title out there, but the release of titles like Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Apex Legends hurt the game, and it lost the charm it once had.

Whether one’s a fan or not, it’s become difficult to deny the impact that Fortnite has had on the industry, as Epic’s battle royale keeps touching new heights and doesn’t seem like it’s going to stop anytime soon. Not only did it popularize the genre that even franchises like Call of Duty have been trying their luck with, but it also proved to be a virtual world.
Players could log on and catch up with their friends, regardless of their physical location. It may have started as a free-to-play battle royale where gamers had to survive, but it transformed into something grander, and the original director, Donald Mustard, was one of the key reasons for that.

Fortnite is undoubtedly one of the best battle royale games of recent times. Launched back in 2017, the popularity and hype of the game continue seven years later in 2024 as well, thanks to the developer’s efforts to keep the game updated and fresh.
The game has about six game modes, among which the battle royale mode is hands-down the most sought-after. One of the brilliant minds behind the mode was the director Donald Mustard. The mode involves 100 players skydiving onto an island and hunting for gear to defend themselves from fellow players. Players can either choose to fight alone or with up to four other players.

Mustard just last year stepped down from Epic Games. He later spilled the beans on his exit and the concept of Fortnite Battle Royale mode during an interview.

Watch Dogs: Legion released in 2020 and became the worst-selling game in the series. And that, according to a new rumor, killed “and buried” the entire franchise.
Popular leaker j0nathan posted the information on Twitter, which loosely translates to:
“Watch Dogs is normally dead and buried. Legion’s failure destroyed the projects on the license (including a fairly original Battle Royale).”

— j0nathan (@xj0nathan) April 21, 2024
The original Watch Dogs released in 2014 and reportedly went on to sell over 10 million copies. Watch Dogs 2 came out two years later and had sold over 10 million units by 2020. However, Watch Dogs: Legion, which released in 2020, did not perform as per Ubisoft’s expectations despite selling 1.9 million units in three days of launch. Going by this data, the series being cancelled sounds possible.

Fortnite is a very successful live-service battle royale game. In fact, it is unmistakably one of the most played battle royale games of recent times. This game took its developer and publisher, Epic Games, to new heights of popularity. After seven years of its launch, it remains the same popular game that it was years ago, all thanks to the constant updates and numerous crossovers.

It’s like everyone is planning a battle royale game for their franchises, and Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs is no different. Well, ‘would have been no different’ is more appropriate, as the studio’s battle-royale game will likely never see the light of day. After all, a new game can’t be released from an already-dead franchise.
This might be news to some fans, but others would have seen the writing on the walls a while ago. While some franchises experience a natural death with the conclusion of their stories, others are forcibly interred due to their lack of profitability. It’s disappointing to see the franchise fall into the latter category, with a potential title that could have saved the series.

It seems Ubisoft just can’t catch a break these days. The company is constantly in the news, more often for controversy than most other gaming studios. Whether it’s for a title that missed the mark or a bad business decision, gamers are using everything they can to call out the company.
The issue is that Ubisoft is giving these gamers ammo to use against them. Such as the latest confirmation from an insider, which, if true, could turn a lot of people against the studio. By burying a beloved franchise after creating lackluster sequels, the studio better have a strong PR team.

Marvel fans finally got to see the much-awaited trailer of Deadpool & Wolverine yesterday and fans are smiling. Some Call of Duty fans began dreaming about a potential collaboration between the franchises as both the superheroes donned their traditional outfits to stand their ground in the next Marvel adventure but that seems unlikely.
The popular military shooter has been busy doing collaborations lately, making the game more colorful akin to Fortnite. Fans haven’t been very happy with the collabs Cod has put in front of them as they never asked for it. However, now that the fans are asking for a potential collab, Activision should pay attention.

Both, the Merc with a Mouth and the adamantium clanking beast, would be well-fitted for the game’s players who already love the action.

As one of the most legendary video game developers, Hideo Kojima has made a reputation for himself in the industry. From the likes of Metal Gear Solid to Death Stranding, Kojima has a knack for creating amazing stories and engaging gameplay for the player.
Through his nearly four-decade-long career, he’s also had many ideas and projects that have not met the light of day. Remember Silent Hills?
One project that Kojima talked about in the early 2000s was his idea of a “raw game.” The player would be able to play this “raw game” for years if they wanted to. But if they die, the game will end forever.
A very ambitious idea from Hideo Kojima that has not seen the light of day yet. If this project did take off, how would the gaming industry be today?
Hideo Kojima’s Idea for a ‘Raw Game’ No lives. No retries.

The Call of Duty franchise has been a pillar of the gaming landscape for many years, and in that time both gaming as a whole and the franchise itself have seen a wide array of milestone moments. Today marks the anniversary of one of those moments, being the third anniversary of one of the franchise’s biggest content shifts to date.
Three years ago was the Destruction of Verdansk event in Warzone, an event which saw the entire map completely obliterated by a nuclear bomb, shifting the setting from the present-day, Modern Warfare-inspired setting it launched with into something new entirely.

In 2009, at the request of SkyMovies, Quentin Tarantino named his 20 favorite films released between 1992 and 2009. 1992 was chosen as the starting point because that was the year Tarantino himself became a film director. Quentin cited a Japanese action movie that he felt was blatantly ripped off by The Hunger Games as his favorite project of the past 17 years:
“I’m a big fan of the Japanese movie Battle Royale, which is what Hunger Games was based on. Well, Hunger Games just ripped it off. That would have been awesome to have directed Battle Royale.”
Long before The Hunger Games, director Kinji Fukasaku captured the frenzy of teenagers stranded on an island to survive. Battle Royale is a Japanese film that has become a cult classic over the course of two decades, spawning a wave of works about deadly games.

Fortnite is one of the most successful games of all time, it was incredibly bold and rare for a publisher to release a free-to-play battle royale game in 2017 but the gamble paid off. Each update features new content that fans will enjoy but rumors are suggesting that Epic Games will use nostalgia this following season.
Taking a trip down memory lane isn’t necessarily bad but could indicate creativity’s void. The developers will take the community on a different approach, which may hint at the longevity of Fortnite.
Epic Games Will Bring Back Fortnite Chapter 2 This Year
Fortnite this year will be a blast from the past, if recent rumors are true.
Every time a new chapter or season is coming, the gaming community is looking for clues to where Epic Games will take its iconic battle royale, but this year may be just a quick reflection of previous chapters.

Camping in battle royale titles is a huge headache for the players. Call of Duty: Warzone is not an exception either. To minimize camping in the game, Activision has taken several steps as well. Like the Bunker Buster killstreak in the Season 2 Reloaded update which has literally made it impossible for players to camp inside tall buildings.
Another annoying camping spot is the water towers on Rebirth Island. Since Verdansk, this is the map players have liked so much. But camping in that high position was ruining the game completely. That’s why a new update is on its way to make life harder for the campers in Warzone.

The story of the development of Call of Duty Warzone is one of late nights and an expansive vision that was not an easy sell. Starting development in early 2018, the Modern Warfare and Warzone team had an uphill battle ahead of them.
But the result was a game that reached over one hundred million players worldwide, and is still a roaring success to this day, over three years after its initial release.

Stress test, well, as the phrase suggests, could be stressing. It gets intense when playtesters are too skilled. It was kind of the case with Call of Duty: Warzone, the popular battle royale title. Infinity Ward co-studio heads Dave Stohl and Patrick Kelly shared the story behind the development of the game, especially touching on the creation of the original Verdansk.
The game may have gotten bad in the eyes of some fans, but it certainly changed the way enthusiasts played battle royale games. They also did something that almost killed one of their least favorite activities in the game: camping. Players were rewarded for moving around Verdansk, which prompted them to get out there on the battlefield.

Despite the lack of a solid release date, fans are hearing a flurry of rumors every day.

Call of Duty may be going through a rough phase, but it has enjoyed some peaks in the past. That’s mainly because of the series’ ability to adapt to any kind of trend, so it was natural for it to try its hand at the battle royale craze. Activision officially released Call of Duty Warzone on March 10th, four years ago, bringing a new free-to-play, cross-platform battle royale title that brought together over 150 players. Fortnite players are always hunting for one thing or another. This is how Epic Games keeps challenging its fans and finding new ways to reward them with a thing or two. Sometimes players have to find a certain number of items; other times they have to just go ahead and destroy some objects to complete a challenge. But there’s always something.
No doubt, it’s a great way for them to introduce new rewards into the game. If they give fans a quest or challenge to destroy something superhero-related, they will obviously get that superhero’s skin as a reward. This is how they mix themes from different franchises into Fortnite. Keeping up with this style, they have given fans yet another quest, this time based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Fortnite is one of the most popular Battle Royale titles. The title has aged very well, especially when one looks at its player retention, considering it played out more than seven years ago. Epic Games has ensured that it has introduced various game modes and ways to play, capturing a larger audience.
Among all of these new game modes, some truly stand out. One such mode is Prop Hunt, which was introduced by the game recently. Another one based on Invincible, the animated TV series, seems to be getting traction, and for good reason.

Fortnite’s success is often credited to the fact that it is a game that knows its fanbase well. It knows them so well that whenever something new is introduced to this game, fans are pretty quick to accept it without fault. Skins, new maps, weapons, and everything else that changes in Fortnite—fans love it.
But sometimes developers make mistakes. Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, is no exception here either. They have made a bunch of mistakes over time, too. Usually, they come down to nerfing some weapons and introducing some unexpected bugs to the game. But this time they have done something that fans are not very enthusiastic about.
