I was very disappointed in the movie. I can't bring myself to call it the movie version of the novel, because the only thing the two had in common were the title and the character's names. The only character in the movie worth watching was Tamara Taylor as Colby. James used guilt to get what he wanted, and Sterling had no backbone.

Kirk Taylor gets nothing but props for his acting abilities, he's as smooth as Billy D after a cool refreshing Colt 45 in this role. I've read the book and Kirk is exactly how I pictured Silver. Tamara Taylor offers the same smoothness as Kirk but in a very feminine way, her acting ability far surpasses her looks which after watching the movie quite a few times is virtually impossible.
