Tedious softcore with a touch of XXX
lor_21 September 2010
The liner notes on Vol. 56 of Something Weird's Dragon Art Theatre DVD-R series would have you believe that this a long-lost treasure of classic eroticism, but that's all hype. This is merely a poorly made all-sex film shot with softcore angles.

There is no penetration shown during intercourse and fellatio scenes are filmed as if for Cinemax, but a curious double standard occurs. The heroine Mrs. Sachs comforts herself with a huge dildo, and that penetration is considered okay. I don't know what peculiar rules actually existed for exhibitors/distributors in the early days of porn, but apparently penetration shots while masturbating were considered softcore enough to get by.

The film consists of endlessly stretched sex scenes in the office or at home, cut together and then shamelessly repeated (as highlights?) in the final reel, very poorly edited. Effect is dull, even though attractive female cast members were hired, notably Lily Foster as the title character.

Soporific soundtrack includes muzak renditions of "If I Loved You", "You Made Me Love You" and "All of Me".

Filmmaker "Jack O Vine" innovates a full decade before Spike Lee by calling this a "Blu Pix Gig", and the end title reads "Thank U" -man, he was almost as hip as the legions of moronic text messagers of today!
