After training Tommy “The Machine” Gunn and Adonis “Donnie” Johnson, Sylvester Stallone may enter WWE to train ex-Bloodline member Sami Zayn. The actor became synonymous with his character Rocky Balboa in the boxing world and played a crucial role in widening the reach of the sport in America. XYZ Films knows a good thing when they see it, and that’s why the studio preemptively purchased the U.S. rights to Skyline: Warpath, a sequel in the Skyline universe starring Iko Uwais and Scott Adkins. Liam O’Donnell (Beyond Skyline) directs the threequel from his own script, with filming taking place in Indonesia. You can check out Uwais and Adkins in the first-look images from Skyline: Warpath above and below.
Joining Uwais and Adkins and cast members are Louis Mandylor, Randall J. Bacon, and Yayan Ruhain.
According to XYZ, the story for Skyline: Warpath picks up five years after Beyond Skyline. The plot “follows Sua (Uwais) as he leads The Resistance against the aliens. When he discovers the powerful alien Radial Gauntlet, he must deal with both the corrupt Eric (Adkins) and the army of alien invaders.”

Professional hot take performance-artist Skip Bayless, who for years has been going after LeBron James, has set his sights on a new ratings booster: Taylor Swift.
Yesterday, as the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs were being beaten by the lowly Las Vegas Raiders, the Fox Sports talking head found time to tweet about the important stuff.
“Feels like it’s about time to call Taylor Swift a distraction. What do you think, Patrick? Andy? How about you, Travis?” Bayless wrote on Twitter, name-checking Chiefs’ Qb Patrick Mahomes, coach Andy-Reid and tight end Travis Kelce, who also happens to be Swift’s boyfriend.

Before landing what many call his “biggest catch yet” with Taylor Swift, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had his fair share of romantic pursuits. The journey to this potential romantic touchdown has been filled with notable relationships and public speculations.
From a reality TV stint to a liaison with a sports reporter, Kelce’s romantic history is almost as talked about as his on-field achievements. As rumors of his relationship with Swift gain traction, Kelce might have scored his most noteworthy catch to date.
Travis Kelce’s dating history before Taylor Swift included a dating show
Fans might remember that Kelce once took center stage in a 2016 reality dating program called Catching Kelce. He later admitted to having second thoughts about participating.
“It was extremely awkward,” Kelce stated.
According to Today, Kelce had a short-lived romance with Maya Benberry, who emerged as the winner of the show.

Match #1: Charlotte Flair & Shotzi def. Iyo Sky & Bayley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Ballsy Badass had The Queen of WWE as her tag partner as they took on Bayley and WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky of Damage Ctrl. Shotzi had terrorized Bayley for weeks after the devious group shorn her green locks more than a month ago. After some back-and-forth action, Asuka reemerged to snatch the WWE Women’s Title from Dakota Kai’s hands, giving enough of a distraction for Shotzi to lock up the win for her team. After the match, Asuka and Sky had a face-to-face showdown.

The label "direct-to-video" used to be a death knell for filmmakers and movie fans alike. In the early days of home video, the term typically referred to features that weren't good enough to get theatrical distribution, causing studios to subsequently dump them onto the shelves of Blockbusters and Hollywood Videos, where — via gaudy box art, ridiculous taglines and/or highlighting the name of a slumming movie star or a legit celebrity (who would likely only have a cameo role) — they would try to entice naïve renters to check it out.
It can be exceedingly difficult for a subgenre to change a poor reputation, but everything started to change once theatrical distribution was no longer the only game in Hollywood as video, cable, and streaming services became more ubiquitous. When it comes to “authorization,” Hulu’s Mike Tyson limited series Mike was damned if it did, damned if it didn’t, and probably shouldn’t have bothered at all.
Mike Tyson is pissed off that Mike, created by Steven Rogers and showrun by Karin Gist, was created without his “authorization,” loading up on accusations of racism against the Disney-owned streamer. The biggest problem with Mike, naturally enough, is that it’s far too generous to its unauthorized subject and, realistically, it’s hard to imagine anybody making a more sympathetic story about the former heavyweight champion and convicted rapist.
Mike isn’t some total puff piece, but it’s way more invested in trying to understand Mike Tyson and the things he has either admitted to doing or been convicted of doing than in actually depicting those things and letting the audience draw their own conclusions.

5Ringside Media, the investment arm of Newen-backed indie Ringside Studios, has taken a minority stake in Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor’s Joi Productions.

Joi Productions focuses on Black, queer and female-led stories. Joining Joy is Wildgaze’s head of development, Tom Hawkins.

Beyonce Opens the Oscars With Tennis-Themed Performance at Venus and Serena Williams’ Hometown Court
As reported by Variety earlier this week, Best Original Song nominee Beyonce opened Sunday night’s 94th Academy Awards ceremony with a tribute to Venus and Serena Williams performed on the famed tennis courts “in the heart of beautiful Compton, where we truly came alive as professional athletes,” the sisters said when introducing the singer’s opening set.
Of course, Beyonce performed “Be Alive,” her song from the Will Smith-starring film about the Williams sisters, “King Richard.” The performance opened with a number of characteristically statuesque Beyonce dancers, clad in tennis-ball-green outfits, walking down a Compton street toward the courts, past the kind of low-rider cars made world-famous in Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg videos in the 1990s.
The scene moved to the court, where Beyonce, atop a small platform was accompanied by dozens of dancers and musicians , with Bey and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy dancing in the front.

Exclusive: The story of Black British boxing sensation Len Johnson is to be told in a feature film from Rush exec Guy East, written by the “godmother of Black British playwrights” Winsome Pinnock.
Champion is the first major project from UK commercials producer MindsEye’s two-year-old film and TV division and is based on Rob Howard’s book Boxing’s Uncrowned Champion – Len Johnson and the Colour Bar.
Johnson was one of the top middleweight boxers in the 1920s and 1930s but was denied his dream of becoming a British boxing champion due to the ‘colour bar’, the rule that stated only white fighters could claim championship status.
He fought tirelessly against this injustice and his determined activism led to the ‘colour bar’ being overturned, clearing the pathway for multiple future Black British champions. Last year, a petition to have a statue erected in his hometown of Manchester was signed...

October’s here and it’s time to get spooked. After last year’s superb “’70s Horror” lineup, the Criterion Channel commemorates October with a couple series: “Universal Horror,” which does what it says on the tin (with special notice to the Spanish-language Dracula), and “Home Invasion,” which runs the gamut from Romero to Oshima with Polanski and Haneke in the mix. Lest we disregard the programming of Cindy Sherman’s one feature, Office Killer, and Jennifer’s Body, whose lifespan has gone from gimmick to forgotten to Criterion Channel. And if you want to stretch ideas of genre just a hair, their “True Crime” selection gets at darker shades of human nature.
It’s not all chills and thrills, mind. October also boasts a Kirk Douglas repertoire, movies by Doris Wishman and Wayne Wang, plus Manoel de Oliveira’s rarely screened Porto of My Childhood. And Edgar Wright gets the “Adventures in Moviegoing” treatment,...

I believe we have Damien Priest defending the US Title against Jeff Hardy and a WWE World Title Match between Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton. That being said, Big E has said he plans on cashing in Money In The Bank on the WWE World Champion to finally become the champion himself. I’m excited to see if this all goes well. Theodore Buggerphuck: I’m not! Me: Oh good God! What do you want? TB: I hate things! Damn them! Damn things! Me: Be careful Buggerphuck. You don’t know what you’re in for. The summer movie season may be winding down, but HBO Max is keeping the movie ball rolling in September 2021. HBO Max’s list of new releases this month is heavy on the film side of things – both in library and original offerings.
Two Warner Bros. films of note arrive this month. The James Wan-directed horror tale Malignant premieres on Sept. 10 and is followed by Clint Eastwood’s Cry Macho on Sept. 17. The next installment in Adventure Time: Distant Lands (which is kind of like a film series!) is titled Wizard City and opens the month on Sept. 2
Of course, it wouldn’t be a new month of HBO Max releases without some interesting evergreen Warner movie titles. Sept. 1 finds all eight Harry Potter movies returning to WarnerMedia’s streaming service. They will be accompanied by The Goonies, The Evil Dead, Cloverfield, and more. Later on in the month, Mortal Kombat (Sept.
