The mind of a hypocondriac
filmfreak-59 July 2003
Well, I don't even remember where I saw this film, probably on TV, but I remember it vividly, because it touched me somehow. In my past I've been working with a lot of people in the social sector, and so I have also stumbled across many people suffering from hypocondria.

I'm quite sure the author of this film is in the same position - although this is set out as being a tragic-comic little film, it shows a lot of the actually truth of what's going on. Many hypocondriacs actually has the same tendencies as Bjarne Henriksen's character in this film and the difference between whether you think it is funny or tragic actually only lies in how much experience you have had with reality's hypocondriacs.

It's very double for me - I feel a little disgusted that this film was made, apparently to make fun - yet I also feel that it is a quite important film and somehow in a very reverse sense, glad that it WAS made. Strange feelings, but all in all a good little flick.
