Wonderful children's show

I love Dog and Duck, it is adorable and funny and simply a must watch for kids. I just want to know, what has happened to it? There were so many gems made in the 80s and 90s that are not shown any more or forgotten, the cartoons and kids shows airing now are either awful or ones that started off good but now mediocre. Back to Dog and Duck, I loved the concept, toys coming to life, and Dog and Duck(the more sensible of the two)are endearing characters that get into fascinating situations that will enthrall both kids and adults if given the chance. The show looks good, with nice music and the voice acting is very good, just too cute sounding just right for the characters. Overall, please bring this gem back! 10/10 Bethany Cox

It is just adorable, it's a childhood favourite of mine - but what's happened to it?

Oh... (sniffles) Happy memories! I remember at the turn of the New Millennium this was broadcast every afternoon on CITV and I used to love coming home from school to see it taped on a recordable videocassette that also held moving pictures of some other CITV favourites of mine of which I am pleased to say I still have now though the picture quality is obviously not 100%. That was 7 years ago when a was a 10-year-old youngster in 2000. Oh how I adore "Dog and Duck" and the memories it never fails to bring back to me. The stars of this children's program are too cute for words. Dog is a comfortingly traditional toy on wheels and Duck is also of a classic design resembling a kind of push-along toy and if that's not lovable enough for you; they are both so gentle. The adventures they undertake living in a eccentric house are so much fun and very, very educational. They have friends who are also inanimate objects; Elephant who is too timid to ever leave the toy-box, Piano who never talks without playing jolly musical notes with his keyboard, Telly a rather no-nonsense television and two plastic little horses who don't usually get on. On the whole, I should recommend a maximum age of 11 but you don't have to take my word for it - I can't resist "Dog and Duck" despite my being a mature teenager or else I would be giving this upcoming matter as much thought as I do; it is not shown on television anymore which I think is such a shame. I believe that it was popular with young children like I was and yet they still removed it our screens! Why?!

Great show for young children.

Dog and Duck is a children's show, featuring a toy dog on wheels (the kind that a small child would push along as he learns to walk) and a toy duck. Although they are toys, they come to life when their owners aren't around. The two get into all sorts of situations in their house, usually Dog is the one who gets into trouble in some way, or gets over-excited about something, and Duck is the more sensible one who comes to the rescue and gets them both back out of trouble.

This is a great show for young children, with a really catchy theme tune. The voices for Dog and Duck fit the toys perfectly, and (as with all good children's shows) often there is a hidden message in the episode as well. It's worth mentioning the other toys in the toy box too, who include Tortoise and Elephant. If you haven't seen this show, I'd recommend giving it a try.
