The Beginning of a New Era in Gothic Films

I watched Liberata Me finally! I was among the first to catch the first screening of the movie in New Orleans. After being raved so much by goths around the states, I figured even if it was a crappy film, I just had to be there to watch it anyway. What a surprise it turned out to be!

Liberata Me was perhaps the best and only short film that I have watched out of many that was worth watching. Unlike many wannabe 'goth' films, this one does not belong to a filmmaker who wants the world to understand his pain, but rather just to feel it for themselves. I will not reveal the last part to you as it is a surprise ending, but it was the ONLY movie that made me and my friends cringe at our seats.

Amazing cinematography, brilliant acting by the lead actor and of course the sheer atmosphere that cannot be replicated. Director Teo certainly carve not only a unique style but a new breed of fans! I'm behind ya!

Gripping, soul-searcher expose of the excesses of drugs, self-hatred and the darker side of the Goth culture.

Pearry Teo is a rising star in the film industry. He is a raw, yet polished director that unconventionally makes films that have an unembellished purity to them. Mr. Teo tells his stories without a taint of outside or special interest influence. Liberata Me is the early 21st century person, stripped down and hurting deep inside.

Liberata Me is a great film. It sends you traveling through the dark world of a confused young man trapped in his own personal hell. The film is also great visually. Pearry has put a lot of work into Liberata Me, and it shows. I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more great work from him in the future.
