Canada's a Hundred Years Young 1967 CBC
SamBwater3 May 2015
Canada's Centennial TV show on CBC featured Canada's true Canadian Heritage Characters. Gordon Lightfoot (Balladeer), Wayne & Shuster (comedy team), Don Herron (comedian) and most importantly my Pops...Ivan Romanoff. He co-hosted with Austin Willis (Actor & Host)and was known for his for 30 years on CBC Radio directing his Orchestra and Male Chorus with the music from the Old Country in Old School quality. 2017 is coming up fast and now is the time to get to work planning that 150 anniversary show. I will be contacting CBC Archives and see if I can get a DVD. I hold an 8mm film copy of the show and it needs to be transferred into the digital domain. There are few places left that do this service. I'm going to Costco and they are forwarding it somewhere. Is there anyone in Hollywood that would co-produce a movie with me about the Biography of what happened over the last 50 years? It would include Canadian Celebrities such as Lorne Green who transhumanced to the US of A. Lorne was the moderator of my Pops show. I used the word transhumance which means, the action or practice of people moving livestock from one grazing ground to another in a seasonal cycle, typically to lowlands in winter and highlands in summer, because of BONANZA the TV series.
