A return to the roots for Nukem

-May Contain Spoilers- Duke Nukem, often referred to as the "King of hardcore Action!" If you've never heard of him, you're missing out. Duke is a man with three simple wants and needs in life: A cold beer, A hot babe, and a sweet ride. Unfortunately, as is often the case for heroes. Something is getting in his way.

In this particular game, we see Duke Nukem being called in to deal with an outbreak of "mutations" across New York city, and soon after that the game begins, quickly revealing there is something sinister behind these mutations.

While it certainly isn't the best game in the series (an honor reserved for Duke Nukem : Zero Hour and Duke Nukem 3D), it is still a charming throwback game, even six years after its initial release.

If you're craving more Duke action while we wait for Duke Nukem Forever, and haven't given this one a try, I recommend you try and pick it up on Ebay or Amazon. Its definitely worth at least one play.

Duke Nukem Manhattan Project - great sequel after Duke Nukem 3D & before Duke Nukem Forever

I got this game a few month after its release. At first, I started to remember, how I played previous Duke Games to feel the game, then I got more and more progress in "kicking ass" job. Hell, it was great fun after beating "those freaking aliens" back in 1996!! Some levels were really tough, but I swear I NEVER used any cheat to get through. Just after five months I managed to finish all skill levels and found all those Nukes and about half of secrets. I was very pleased to know, that there are bonuses you get, when you finish each skill level with all Nukes. And to say why I didn't cheat: I just didn't have Internet at that time and I really hate to read anything, even magazines about games.

I enjoyed 1996 Duke Nukem more that this. But, hey, this wasn't that bad, and I didn't mind 2D idea of the game. It's pretty cool. Honestly I didn't enjoy that much on few occasions, maybe because Duke is fighting a mutant monsters here, not aliens. But, again... I don't mind that much. The Duke character (voiced by Jon St. John) stayed faithful to the 96' Duke, macho alpha male, main man, and he constantly utters some funny one liners, and I am thankful for that one liners, because, I wouldn't continue to play this game at all. I am glad that Duke is the same. They also brought back pig cops, from the 1996, and others are mostly new enemies, mutated rats, alligators and other stuff, you also got cyborg women, pretty nightmare for Duke and others as well. Your main enemy is Morphix, a guy who has a red lightsaber in his wrist... I found that Morphix wasn't that good, they weren't pay any attention to his character development. Overall, what to say, it's fun, it's a good idea. Play it.

Great addition to the Duke Nukem series

Duke Nukem Manhattan Project is the latest addition to the Duke Nukem series.This one is different from the others because unlike most of the other games which were FPS games this game is a side scroller like Duke Nukem 1 and 2.I got this game a couple of years ago for Christmas.I must say its really fun.It has gore,funny one-liners,basically anything a Duke Nukem fan would want.Duke Nukem Manhattan Project is about Duke Nukem who must save Manhattan from aliens.Manhattan Project is a fun game and I recommend it!
