The Sleep of Reason is a well paced thriller with good performances and a very interesting feel to it. The tension builds around the characters as they encounter their own personal ghosts in a strange house. Oh yeah, and that girl in the prom dress. She's a looker.

Sleep of Reason is a very cool movie. It's filmed mostly in an old house that's a perfect setting for the young actors who are trying to work on their band music while mysterious things happen to the characters. Lots of interesting references (I remember the "owl scene" in particular) that make you want to see it again. Two thumbs up for Michael Carvaines and his cast!

My date was just scared, but I was consumed with the multi-leveled complexities of this amazing piece of cinematic genius. What appears on the surface to be a rock band in a 'haunted' house really is so much more, and that to me was scary. The title alone brings us a reminder of the classic engraving which is smartly noted in the film as well.
I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say this. You'll enjoy this film regardless, but you'll be surprised how much more you'll get out of it if you bring your brain. It's a thinking person's film, but will scared the crap out of you no matter your IQ. Bravo !!

Very well made and it appears to be very attentive to detail. I enjoyed it at had to watch it again. Mike Carvaines's other film is also worth watching as well.
Nothing like a good suspense/ghost story!
You do have to do some thinking here. not for the faint of heart! The actors are very good, and they seem like veterans, definitely not their first rodeo!
I love these type of independent films.
