The Best of Tyler Perry
bornasiatic5 April 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I have watched all of the Tyler Perry plays but Madea's class reunion surpasses them all, so far. Tyler is a genius and he has been an underground play write for too long. I'm very happy he is gaining national recognition outside of the black community.

The play takes place in a hotel where Madea's reunion will be held. It is a story of forgiveness and reconciliation. Although Madea (in all of her plays) smokes weed, cusses and is packing a pistol, she teaches that we don't need to harbor unnecessary resentment toward the ones that hurt us. Forgiveness is for yourself not the people that did you dirty.

Can't wait to see Madea goes to Jail.

Madea's Class Reunion

I had never even heard of Tyler Perry OR Madea until the first time I watched this play. I almost got up and turned it off when I realized that this play stared a man in drag. After watching this movie the first time I was hooked on both Tyler Perry and Madea. For me personally this movie helped me through a hard time and turned me into a born again Christian.

I agree with the previous comment about the beginning of the play. Each member of the cast's life is effected by Jesus in a powerful way. It does turn into a happy story for everyone and show's the power of God and the good he does.

Bro. B.I.B.'s Class Review

Warning: Spoilers
"Madea's Class Reunion" is awesome! As I said before, I prefer this play over some of Tyler Perry's other plays; at the time this came out, it was my favorite play of his. It's funny, and knows when to pull back; it's dramatic, but not too heavy; the songs are memorable and fantastic; the message is strong and powerful; the characters and likable - it's just great.

This is another production that's hard for me to critique; it's just really good. If I had to talk about something, it would be some of the songs - not all of them, just some of them (only one that comes to mind, actually). I've heard people say that the songs come out of nowhere in this play. Yes, the spiritual medley comes from nowhere, but I actually don't mind it. And like I said, that's the only song that comes from nowhere.

OK, so let's discuss the ending briefly. The ending is funny! Who would have guessed that Cora is Brown's daughter?! That's hilarious! Brown is so uptight and religious; to think that he slept with Madea one night while they were in high school is insane! (Granted, Madea spiked the punch, but it's still funny.) When my family and I saw this after it first came out on DVD in 2003, we didn't think this would be an on-going gag! Oh, but just wait...Just you wait! BOOYIKA!

class reunion was absolutely fabulous, i have watched it over twenty times. It reminds you of yourself and everyone else you came up with and still with, real people genuine people,i am in the process of purchasing whatever it is i don't have by brother Tyler. It's like waking up and just being yourself and not stressing over strained acceptance. There are so many people donning mask, unappreciative of what they really are and the substance in it ,sad comes to mind. Thank you for putting something out worth watching, over and over again and enjoying it!The Mann's are wonderful a beautiful couple that come across warmly and affectionately,I hope their with your productions to stay!

The Best of all Tyler Perry's Plays
GCrawsings24 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is when I fell in deep love with Tyler Perry's Play's over his movies. I worked in the hotel hospitality industry for years positions as Hostess, Desk Clerk /PBX Operator. If he didn't put the real deal on the hotel hospitality industry and made it funny. It's like catching a glimmer of a career minded Desk Clerk with a flirty Bell-hop (Bellman).OMG I did live this once myself lol!!! But the Bellman also worked the bar as a bartender ( bar-back ) really??? Drinking on the job while on break just doing the most. This was the first time I heard Tyler say; Go ahead on Lady , I haven't had my medicine yet. A hotel job is like a Soap Opera and he pulled this tale so hilariously funny I am still in awe some umpteenth years later.

Cora didn't recognize Clarence Massey?
GSHARON71030 August 2008
Warning: Spoilers
When Cora checks Clarence Massey into the hotel, she shows no signs of knowing him by sight, nor his name, yet when his wife Dianna comes to the hotel later, she and Cora speak and Dianna Massey reminds Cora she was at their wedding. It appears that Cora has long been aware of Clarence Massey's affair with Ann. (the hotel manager and mother of Clarence's son.) One would think since Cora knew about the affair, she has probably seen Clarence around Ann before. Ann does not appear to be the type who would share details of her affair with Cora. When Dianna Massey finds out Ann is her husband, Clarence's mistress, Cora's statement to Ann is: "you knew he was married and he is just playing both of you," making it evident she was aware of the affair and that he was Dianna's husband.
