Great late episode
stones786 June 2012
I consider the later episodes, the ones which have Archie buying the bar, the Stivics' move to California, and the introduction of Stephanie, to be of lesser quality than the earlier seasons. I just found out that this episode won an Emmy award, which actually doesn't surprise me, considering the blend of humor and drama mixed well together, but I think it's great because Archie is hilarious during a very delicate situation. Edith's cousin Liz recently died, and her and Archie attend her funeral, and go to Liz and her roommates' apartment/house later on to help console Veronica(Katherine Callan), who ends up being more than just a roommate, although Archie and Edith were unaware. Their reactions to finding out about them being lesbians was priceless, especially Archie's, who thinks that Edith probably heard something the wrong way, as he says, "Edith, you are so nave.", instead of naive, and says to Veronica, "why don't you turn yourself around?". I'm not giving this episode the proper justice, and when it comes on again, give it a shot and you won't be disappointed, as this may be one of the last great episodes from this great show.
