Paedophile Carl Jones is at Sun Hill, and so is Burnside, his mission, to discover the whereabouts of a missing schoolboy.
This is yet another terrific episode, it's incredibly bleak, very sad, but truly powerful. I can't lie, it's an uncomfortable watch, this isn't one for everyone I'll say that.
There was such a degree of realism about this episode, from the reactions of the parents, to the disgust shown by The Detectives, down to the reaction of The Canteen staff. It felt very real somehow.
It was a good episode for new boy Duncan, but once again it's Ellison that shines, great seeing Burnside back at Sun Hill.
The acting here was first rate, every single player was terrific, David Cook was superb as Carl, his scenes with Burnside in particular were excellent, very chilling.
Powerful, 9/10.
