Local Gangster Jimmy Smith asks Don Beech for another favour, the trouble both have, is that Burnside is heading up the case. Smiths girlfriend Melanie Lehmann is burgled, Burnside uses that to try and get close to Smith.
This was a big storyline, they played a blinder bringing Lesley Grantham back, he always played the part of a villain well. The three part story that Grantham appeared in earlier in the series was excellent, this felt like a conclusion to that story.
Good to see a clash of the big guns, Burnside and Beech, something was definitely brewing there.
It was good to see Burnside paired with Kerry, we haven't seen much of him in this series, but there is no denying he brought something extra, often paired with one of the lads, I enjoyed the contrast Kerry brought.
Two notable young guests here, Denise van Outen and Alex Ferns, I can't believe how young they both look.
Look out for a young, fresh faced Chris Simmons, who would go on to play of of the snow's favourites, Mickey Webb.
