Terrible acting ruins an otherwise okay plot

Can't stress enough just how bad the overacting is by the guest stars playing the young married couple Zachariah and Teresa. Especially Theresa! Ughhhh.

Can't recommend this episode for that reason.

Of course to Cartwrights and other regulars are always up to par . Don't know how they can consistently put in such a top-notch performance over so many seasons. But they do.

Rough Time To Have A Baby

Murray Macleod has a pregnant wife played by Barbara Sian Allen. He gets involved with outlaws, and they won't let him rejoin her. Ben finds the woman on the floor alone in their house. I had some misgivings about the dialog the first time I saw this one. This time around I like the discussion about Christian names. It seemed overdone and redundant the first viewing. James Olson and Albert Salmi play outlaws, and they are plenty mean. This episode gets a little too grim near the end. And the action does strain plausibility. Still it all sustains interest. And there is the reality a woman benefits from knowing how to use a firearm.
