How'd they get tgether?

Mountain man Aldo Ray gas a new line of living breaking wild horses and he disrupts the daily routine of the Ponderosa when he arrives with some mares to sell to Dan Blocker,

Ray is a rather unkempt and unhousebroken type. But he has a sweet and petite Quaker wife in Kathryn Hays.

I can't criticize the guest stars for their acting. But for the life of me I could not see why Hays teamed up with Ray. His 'redemption' was rather unconvincing to say the least. Ray was such a lout.

Not one of the better episodes.

What was the point of this poor show?

Just early days of social engineering, sort of weird, white Nordic male is rough with a black horse and rough with his pregnant wife. Hoss comes to the rescue. It is interesting to observe how the social engineers had their agenda even in the early sixties, exploiting and distorting life 100 years earlier.
