This episode contains the single corniest line of dialogue of the entire series. For their trading stamps, the boys want a row boat and the girls want a sewing machine. Just when Greg says: "a dumb old sewing machine," Mike walks in and replies: "a sewing machine is certainly not anything that can be called dumb." What human being has ever talked this way? How about just correcting Greg, using normal, everyday language? Then, we get the famous "house of cards" sequence. How many decks of cards did they have? It looked like a lot more than 52 cards. Of course, the girls wind up winning. Because everything counts when you're building a house of cards, even though it really was Tiger's fault. However, a compromise is made, and everyone winds up happy. Overtly silly, but enjoyable episode. I'd like to go back to a time when "trading stamps," and what to do with them, was the biggest problem anybody had.

Watch Barry Williams

Not a bad episode, but watch Barry Williams (Greg) at the end when the girls reveal the television that they traded the stamps for. His acting is atrocious! Walking around the TV set & touching it as if he's never seen such a thing before.
Trading Stamps And A House Of Cards

The boys and the girls are feuding over what gift to get with their books of trading stamps.
A pretty good episode, yet another boys vs girls show. Trading stamps were popular at the time, where they would be given out at grocery stores, people would paste them into books and when they have enough books filled, they could pick out a gift from the catalog. The boys want a row boat and the girls want a sewing machine. The decide to have contest to see who can build a house of cards without it falling down. There is a good ending to this one.
