[J.R. chuckles as she gets on bed with him]
Mandy Winger : I didn't get to have any dinner.
JR Ewing : You know... you are magnificent.
Mandy Winger : Yeah, even with pear juice dripping down my chin?
[giggles]
JR Ewing : [chuckles] Yes, even so. You know, there's something very strange about our relationship.
Mandy Winger : [still chewing] The fact that you're married?
JR Ewing : Uh-uh. You know, all my life... the chase has been the most important thing to me. I'd be infatuated with someone for a while... and when I achieved my goal, I - I couldn't wait to get away.
Mandy Winger : J.R.!
JR Ewing : Darling, what I'm saying is it's different with you. I want you now more than ever. I can't tell you what a wonderful feeling that is.
Mandy Winger : I suppose that's a compliment. No matter how I try to rationalize it, you're still married.
JR Ewing : [sighs] It won't be long before Sue Ellen is gone from Southfork for good.
Mandy Winger : Are you sure that's the right thing for you? I feel really terrible about doing this to your marriage.
JR Ewing : Darling, it's not your fault.
[sighs]
JR Ewing : I gave Sue Ellen every chance in the world... to be a good wife. But the dye is cast now. There's no going back. You and I are gonna have the kind of relationship... that you've always wanted.
Mandy Winger : I hope so, J.R. I really do.
[he snatches the pear away from her, and she giggles:]
Mandy Winger : I'm hungry!
JR Ewing : [chuckles] So am I.
