  J.R. Ewing : Oh, I got you that thing to wear, honey, not to put in a vault. If you lose it, I'll get you another one.

  Mandy Winger : [exhales]  What's this for? It's not my birthday.

  J.R. Ewing : Well, I came into a little extra cash. For the life of me, I didn't know what to do with it. And then I saw that coat.

  Mandy Winger : A little cash? Where did it come from?

  J.R. Ewing : Pamela Barnes Ewing.

  J.R. Ewing : No, I'm not.

  J.R. Ewing : Come on down here. Lemme share that thing with you wiggling around inside it.

  [chuckles as she lands on top of him] 

  Mandy Winger : [shaking her head]  Why did Pam give you money?

  J.R. Ewing : Oh. Bobby invested in some sorta emerald mine in Colombia sometime, all right? I decided I want no part of it. She bought me out of the initial Ewing investment.

  Mandy Winger : Why didn't you want any part of it?

  J.R. Ewing : Because it's a loser... just like the fellow who found that mine. Some guy named Matt Cantrell.

  Mandy Winger : Pam must think the mine is worth something.

  J.R. Ewing : [chuckles]  Well, just shows what goes on in that feeble excuse of a mind of hers. I'll tell you what we'll do. Let's go out someplace real fancy for dinner tonight and show that coat off.

  Mandy Winger : Tonight?

  J.R. Ewing : You have a better offer?

  [plants a kiss on her lips]
