John Beck: Mark Graison

Quotes

  • Mark Graison : [clearly Pamela has found favor in his eyes]  You look very lovely this morning.

Pamela Ewing : Thank you. Last night, you said there was a question.

Mark Graison : Well, I just thought before I release Brooks Oliver to work for Miss Ellie, I... ought to know a little about what he's gonna get into. How the family feels, for example.

Pamela Ewing : Well, my husband and his brother are against it, that's for sure.

Mark Graison : What about you?

Pamela Ewing : I think Miss Ellie should do what she needs to do.

Mark Graison : Even if it's against what your husband wants?

Pamela Ewing : In this case, yes.

Mark Graison : Well, it sounds like you want Miss Ellie to break the will almost more than she does.

Pamela Ewing : We both want to end this rivalry for Ewing Oil.

Mark Graison : [smiles]  All right, I'll give you Brooks Oliver.

Pamela Ewing : [smiles]  Well, that was easy. I must be very persuasive.

    [he smiles]

Pamela Ewing : Either that, or you made up your mind before this morning.

    Mark Graison : Right.

Pamela Ewing : Then why are we having breakfast?

Mark Graison : Because you knocked me out the other day when we met, and I wanted to see you alone.

Pamela Ewing : Mr. Graison, I'm a married woman.

Mark Graison : I know that.

Pamela Ewing : And I'm not very modern when it comes to playing around.

Mark Graison : That is a very attractive quality.

Pamela Ewing : Well, I'm glad you appreciate it. It's a quality I intend to keep.

Mark Graison : You know, marriages are funny. Ships... in a storm. Some waves they survive. Others break them apart.

Pamela Ewing : Well, I have a very strong marriage. And we've survived lots of storms.

Mark Graison : The battle over Ewing Oil may strain it more than you think. If you ever need a lifeboat...

    Pamela Ewing : I don't think I ever will.

    [he smiles]

    Pamela Ewing : Thank you.

    [gets up]

Mark Graison : Have Miss Ellie give me a call about Brooks.

Pamela Ewing : I'd appreciate it if you'd do that yourself. And also, that you not mention that we... had breakfast together.

Mark Graison : [finger in front of his mouth]  Shh.

Pamela Ewing : Thank you again.

    [shakes his hand, walks away]
