Dick Barton made the leap from radio to television.
It also bought the miniscule budget with it. Southern Television did not exactly push the boat out. It looks cheap.
I watched this tongue in cheek adventure when it was first broadcast. I remember enjoying it and it helped that I was at the right age range.
The first episode has Dick Barton called in by a concerned father. His son Rex, a nightclub singer is behaving strangely.
With the the episode length of 10 minutes at least it is brisk. However the direction is a lot to be desired. The acting is deliberately on the fruity side.
Still it is nice to see a young Fiona Fullerton in the cast.
