Low on plot, but sports a great action sequence and Yolei's best moment

This is one of the most under-appreciated points from the second series. Even though surprisingly little happens here story-wise, a lot does indeed occur. The first half is sprinkled with things that follow up on the events of the previous episode (which is quite uncommon in this franchise) and we are given more insight into how the kids feel about the possibility of Ken joining them, a theme that will be important for much of the rest of the series. Indeed, this is where that element of the story truly kicked off; Davis trying to convince Ken to help them is one of the anime's finest moments. The second half is essentially one long fight scene, but it is one of the better ones that do not involve a boss villain (though I will admit that Digmon's attack having no effect on a stone monster is a little odd). Besides being interspersed with development on the group's qualms, we also get to see the armor digimon use their powers in pretty creative ways, and it all culminates in what is probably Yoie's best moment. To top it all off, this episode also reveals a little more about Arukenimon, while still keeping her enigmatic, an approach that ultimately gives her a better introduction than any villain from the first series.
