Dino gets on role on his favorite TV show.

An OK beginning for Season 3. Dino's favorite show is Sassie, a female dinosaur and a parody of Lassie. Fred kicks him out because he takes over the TV. He brings him back when he finds out he can make money by having Dino on the show. Funniest scenes are when we see how the cast of the Sassie show act the way they really are. A stuck up bunch of Hollyrock phonies.

Fred burns the money

This episode has the distinction of being the only cartoon that ever got me emotional. Fred seizes the opportunity to make Dino a TV star. Dino is crazy about Sassy, who looks like a female version of Dino. That is, until Sassy takes off her wig and false eyelashes. Then, Dino is horrified! I absolutely love the last part of this episode, despite the fact that it almost makes me cry! Fred is paid $30 to "release" Dino to an "agent." Fred tries to convince everyone that he's happy about $30, and to be rid of Dino. I love when Fred throws the money into the fireplace. You get the feeling that he would have done the same thing, if it had been $300. That's how much he missed Dino. Great ending, when Dino comes back and gives Fred the usual treatment. Fred is overwhelmed with joy. Alan Reed had to be one of the greatest voice actors. He managed to give Fred Flintstone many layers. Great episode. There are Flintstones episodes that are just as good, but none better.
