Maris killed her polo player boyfriend with a crossbow, lent to her by Niles. Soon, the press is all over this. Niles keeps handling it as things get more and more intense. Maris won't leave him alone, expecting all kinds of support from him. At one point, Frasier, thinking he is a master at rhetoric, stands in for Niles as the press listen. It ain't good.

Murder involving pale woman with weak triceps and an antic crossbow. Naked psychiatrist reading a newspaper in a public cafe. Manson family, helicopters, dead golddigger-polo player, shoes are taken for ransom in prison. What else have i forgotten? 10/10.

David Hyde Pierce keeps this second part of the 'Maris Returns' saga ticking over nicely, and it's nice to see him being given the chance to take centre stage, because his contribution to 'Frasier' and its success should never be underestimated.
This is a fun premise, well enough executed by the cast. The standard of Series eleven has been very high, and while this wasn't the best example, it certainly had more laughs in it than most of what Series eight to ten offered, and proved to be good fun overall.
The eleventh and final series has proved to be a largely consistently good affair so far. Here's hoping that this run of form can continue.
