lizzy is a farmhand's daughter who falls in love with the boss's son. and he in turn falls in love with her. he is rather spoiled in the beginning but jonathen makes him see his errors (by getting landed on his rump more than once) and change. and his father will disinherit him if he marries this girl. which he says he is going to to do. and lets his father know by leaving him a note with the butler. His father then confronts the girl's father who has just gotten bad news concerning his daughter. and that is where this episode ends.
