Life Is All About the Chemistry

Warning: Spoilers
I am a big fan of It Takes a Thief and still feel it was one of the best hours of television ever created for the small screen. Every episode is its own mini drama. "Nice Girls Marry Stock Brokers" is all about chemistry. The chemistry between Wagner and the somewhat ditsy yet brave Sharon Foster character as portrayed by the most lovely Michele Carey. Mundy uses Sharon's fiancé as his alias as the caper unfolds which sets the stage for their cat and mouse romance. Foster hands Mundy more straight lines than even a polite gentleman could walk away from. Including a couple of the coolest lines you will ever hear in the epilogue. Watch it and see. As usual the plot is a little contrived and barley plausible but I think it ended up being designed more to support the chemistry between Wagner and Carey than to carry your interest. Makes me wonder if the director let chemistry supersede the script? No way of knowing. I feel Michel Carey did a wonderful job of acting in this episode. Makes me wonder why she did not have a more prominent career?? Not much is more alluring than a blue eyed brunette. I'd like to give the episode a solid 7.5 but alas a 7 will have to do. It is worth mentioning that is where I think the Uncola Nuts man, Geoffery Holder, got his start and may have been the first time we heard his deep laugh. In 1973 he showed up as a bad guy in the first Roger Moore portrayal of James Bond in "Live and Let Die". Mundy is exhibiting more MacGyver characteristics with his technical expertise and get out of any situation skills. Not to spoil the whole program but Mundy does end up spoiling Carey for her fiancé and we end up with three broken hearts but such is the life of an ex-con working for the SIA.
