The Lone Ranger: Gopher Expert
hogwrassler30 December 2020
The Ranger and Tonto are after the bank robbing Watkins Brothers, Lije and Dave. The Watkins boys stop what seems to be a meek little fellow, watchmaker Feeny Mcardle, who is driving a buggy. They hope to rob him but the little man kills Dave by remotely firing a hideout gun he has in the bottom of the buggy. Feeny tells Lije to bury his brother using sacks of dirt he has in the buggy, then tells him to meet him at his office in town. When the Ranger and Tonto find piles of dirt in the road, Tonto opines that maybe gophers are responsible, but the Ranger, apparently a trained gopherologist, states that gophers only move a higher quality of dirt than what they see in the road. They encounter Lije, but he gets away and meets Feeny later. What is Feeny up to? Why is he carrying sacks of dirt out of town every day? Why does he need Lije? This villain is one smart and slippery character. Our two heroes will have be very careful in trying to bring him to justice.
