Too Far From His Family
Hitchcoc8 April 2015
Hunnicutt gets attached to a Korean family after they bring him to attend to the father. There are two small children, scared and hungry. He tries to help as much as possible but they are in survival mode. This leads to his trying to do too much for them and kind of shirking his duty. Meanwhile and obnoxious general arrives with a sprained leg. Because of his bullheadedness he ends up breaking his wrist and later being stung by a bee (he is allergic). There is the usual defiance of authority by Hawkeye but he gets good treatment. Charles tries to talk him into taking on his own personal physician in Tokyo but backs off when he realizes this guy is hanging around the front.

BJ and family
safenoe2 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Here BJ becomes a surrogate father to a Korean family in desperate need. He manages to get supplies for them, but sadly the family moves on at the end, which is customarily the narrative for many a M*A*S*H episode. I would have liked to have seen the family return in a later episode, but not to be.
