Poor Alfred.....
Sleepin_Dragon10 October 2015
Victor's brother Alfred is over from New Zealand to visit Victor and Margaret, they've not seen Alfred for years, but have kept in touch by letter. Alfred is quite a clumsy soul, a little accident prone, a source of pure annoyance to Victor. Victor decides to take some revenge on a sales rep that nearly ran him off the road.

The Chinese takeaway aspect is so funny, they came up with some great ideas to make Patrick think Victor was nutty as a fruit cake. Patrick catching site of him poking the rice, and later mowing the living room carpet, are so funny. Angus Deayton as always, just a joy, the eyes and facial expressions were wonderful.

Great mix of funny and sad again, the funny bits are as usual laugh out loud, Victor's tormenting the Sales rep was something I'm sure we've all thought about doing at some point, 'you daft dawdling old Ar** hole.' Victor's revenge on the girl that threw a can on his lawn, that child's face is a picture! The sadness naturally comes from brother Alfred, sensitively portrayed by the late Richard Pearson he was bound to irritate Victor, the pair talking over the photos was moving. The surrealism comes from the mummified caveman thread, it's so bizarre.8/10
