This was definitely a time when the most simple things could be made into an episode. The story here is about an annual event where Kate makes a special preserve called Batchelor Butter. The whole town shuts down until she is finished.
When the president of a food company is caught up in the frenzy he offers to take Kate to his headquarters for her to make her product and they could write down the recipe. Unfortunately Kate does not use conventional measuring devices or usual timing for the Batchelor Butter.
After having all her equipment sent to the company (includingt Uncle Joe, Sam, Floyd and Charlie) to rock outside the kitchen, she does not make the product as well as at home.
This is a very good episode. Much better than anything out today.
