For one thing, Kate's tomboyish daughter, Betty Joe, is finally getting married to handsome Steve Elliot.
His parents are going to stop by to sample Betty's terrific cooking --or it is Kate's cooking?
Hugh Beaumont (LEAVE IT TO BEAVER) makes a return visit to the Shady Rest Hotel, playing Steve's dad. Prior to this episode, in season 4, he played a bachelor who finally got married.
Veteran character actress Ann Doran plays his wife, and they make a very fine couple.
But what about the delicious home cooking? Stay tuned.
Another super episode written by Dick Conway, who was the lead writer on LEAVE IT TO BEAVER, without too much surprise, and may have gotten Hugh Beaumont onto the show! Also to note that Edgar Buchanan played Uncle Billy on the series, so this was a real deal reunion, and with a lot of memories.
Of course, Mr. Elliott still looks a lot like Mr. Cleaver, ya think? Maybe a bit grayer.
