Harvest Festival, costumes & politics

This episode teaches values and doing things for the right reason.

Justin Parker is running for office. He tries to influence the women of the village by passing out fliers he wants them to share with their husbands. He does this by complimenting them. The women can't vote at this time so he wants to win their husbands vote for him by promising things.

A promise he makes is a gift to the costume winner of the Harvest Festival. He tries to buy votes and lets a man know of his financial problems because "he has friends at the bank". Parker uses deception and other means to get the vote. This show how today's politicians can get votes.

Felicity King makes a bet with some female friends that she can make Clemmie better looking and win a date and be more confident at the Harvest Festival which is more like a Halloween party. Sara won't go alone with this. Felicity's intentions are not bad but deceptive.

When it is time for the costumer winner at the Festival Mr King is told by Parker that Felicity will win. When Mr Kings tells him he can't buy his vote at the end Parker changes who the winner is and Felicity gets mad and is disappointed.

With Sara's help and Felicity's father talk Felicity comes to realize you have to do things that are right and for the right reasons.

In these episodes there are many characters. So I believe they use the first & last names of characters to help the viewer remember who is who, and who is a family and who is related to who by cousins, brothers etch. example: "Felicity King don't forget to put your coat on"--"Alec King shut the door"--"Sara Stanley behave yourself"--"Peter Craig clean your shoes outside."

This series is good because is teaches good behavior and bad behavior and how to overcome bad circumstances even when bullied by adults or other children.
