A well made episode that was so perfect, even before the finale.
cwf9713 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Like "The Pothole" before it, "The Frogger" is pure genius. The episode used tons of typical Seinfeld jokes to an even better effect. Some of the one-shot characters are THAT memorable. The sub-plot where Elaine ate some of Peterman's cake was very funny as well. It seems that many people consider the Frogger the best LAST episode of Seinfeld before the Puerto Rican Day and the Finale. After about 19 years, like the show, it has aged well into millions of peoples' memories. One of the best parts of the episode is where George was moving the Frogger arcade game akin to the style of the Frogger game. Slippery Pete should have a spin-off sooner or later.

A Well-Rounded Episode
Samuel-Shovel12 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In "The Frogger" George and Jerry head back to the pizza joint they hung out in high school when they learn it is closing down. They find the Frogger machine and learn George still has the high score. He buys it and tries to get it moved to his apartment without the power going out and it resetting. Elaine is sick of cake for every occasion at work. She gets herself into trouble though when she raids Peterman's fridge and eats an antique piece of cake he bought at an auction. Kramer gets a reel of police caution tape from a friend and tells the crew of a new serial killer on the loose: the Lopper. Jerry dates a girl who lives near the serial killer's victims.

Elaine dancing around Peterman's office is probably my favorite portion of this episode. Everyone here has a pretty good storyline but they all fall short of being full on classics. Still, really good stuff. We get a nice little appearance from Peter Stormare as well.

It struck me in this episode how Elaine's storyline is far removed from everyone else's. At the end, everyone is helping out with the Frogger machine, they all have a part to play. Elaine's off doing her own thing with Peterman and the cake. Not really sure what to make of this but thought it was noteworthy.

Two Arrests Made In Lopper Case
Illini_Wrestling_Fan13 February 2021
April 24, 1998- Police Commissioner Howard Safir announced two arrests today at a hastily scheduled press conference. "I want to congratulate the tireless officers who worked on this case," Safir said. "I also want to single out Sgt. Cathy Tierny for her efforts to put an end to the terror in Riverside Park."

In a shocking twist, one of the two suspects shares a name with one of the city's most notorious serial killers. Joel Rifkin was arrested outside a Manhattan restaurant without major incident this morning. Bystander reports indicate Rifkin began vomiting violently as he was being led to a police vehicle, at which point he began screaming the cryptic phrase "12 years, 12 years!"

The other suspect, Art Corvelay, was apprehended inside the same restaurant where Rifkin was captured. Corvelay had been missing for several years after his escape from the psychiatric ward at St. Luke's-Roosevelt hospital. Sometimes referred to as "the pig man" due to his unusual facial features, Corvelay's arrest was also without major incident.

Police arrived on the scene when a 911 caller complained of a disturbance at Mario's, a neighborhood pizzeria. Apparently the two suspects got into a dispute with the proprietor over a missing Frogger video game.

More on this story as it develops.

So much funny
cherylkyrandia1 April 2023
This episode of Seinfeld centres on George Costanza trying to preserve his historical high score on a gaming console "Frogger" while moving it from his childhood pizza joint. To preserve the score, he needs to make sure it doesn't lose power. So he gets help from a couple of dodgy dudes including a character played by the great Peter Stormare. It's a pretty darned funny episode and one that is befitting of the final season, which was otherwise a bit lacklustre in relative terms compared to the prior seasons. The funniest moment for me of course is where George crosses the road through traffic with the game, akin to an actual game of Frogger.

Critical of the Realism of the Plot--Seriously
Hitchcoc17 June 2023
Someone said that he didn't like the episode because the Frogger machine would have been unplugged or lose power at some point. So this is Seinfeld and someone is treating it as if it were a serious drama! Anyway, George had the highest score years previously, so he buys the machine but doesn't think about it losing its list of high scores if unplugged. The humor is in the two guys that Kramer gets for him to bring the thing to his apartment. Jerry is with this gorgeous girl (one of the prettiest of all) and is annoyed that she finishes his sentences. He also is in fear of the the "Lopper," a serial killer who lops off people's heads. Then we have Elaine, who takes Peterman's cake out of the fridge and eats it. It was a historical piece of cake from the wedding of Edward and Wallace Simpson. The ending is pretty sadd.

Guest starring Drake Bell
safenoe16 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Coincidentally, I re-watched The Frogger at the pretty much the same time that I watched Quiet on the Set, and in The Frogger we see a pre-Nickelodeon star, Drake Bell as the child in the pizza store who George sees playing the Frogger machine. I was a huge fan of Frogger back in the 1980s, and I can certainly appreciate George's desire to preserve his high score forever, and the scene at the end where George navigates the Frogger machine across the road was absolutely hilarious and inspired for sure. I first watched The Frogger when it debuted back in 1998, and we were getting close to the end of Seinfeld.

Too whiny
ThunderKing627 March 2023
This episode is dumb or thinks its fans are dumb. Not including me because I am not a fan.

George and the Frogger segment makes no sense. Are you telling me New York didn't have a power outrage for 15+ years? Or the pizza shop didn't rearrange or clean where they had to unplug the machine?

Uh... Anyways

March 27th of 2023rd in 21st Century.

What happened in this episode?: George wants to save a game because he has a record.

Elaine doesn't like the force cake social

Kramer uses police tape.

Jerry dates a hot sentence finisher

The story and the production overview: An alright episode. Apparently, Elaine's cake scenes and Jerry's hot girl saves the episode.

Frogger segment was cringe. Sketchy peoples are not funny.

Highlight: Frogger road scene. It was creative. Other Walter arriving late to sing the get well song.

Villain: Elaine's co-workers for being annoying with cake.

Girlfriend attractiveness level: Jerry's girl is a 9. She has that chipmunk face but with a long neck...still she hot... hope she's an actual red head cuz she was blaze'n.

What can be learned?: It's just a game

Verdict: This frogger didn't make it home.
