You can prefer Douglas Sirk's SCANDAL IN PARIS starring George Sanders as the Vidocq's character, no problem, but this little story is very daring, with a good atmosphere of this nineteenth century Paris. I really appreciated, maybe because I am French too. And despite the fact that the actors are not at the scale of the terrific Sanders the story interesting enough to catch your interest, though a little talkative. But don't watch it after viewing L'EMPEREUR DE PARIS, another version of Vidocq's adventures.
