Windom Earle finds the location of the Black Lodge
Tweekums13 June 2012
Warning: Spoilers
With the latest killing Cooper realises that Windom Earle is no longer playing by the rules; he also learns that he isn't only in Twin Peaks to get revenge on his former partner. Major Briggs supplies information about Earle's time at Project Blue Book and it is clear that he is obsessed with finding the Black Lodge. As Earle still has the Sheriff's office bugged he learns about the Major's involvement and sets about kidnapping him so he can interrogate him about the meaning of the petroglyphs in Own Cave. Cooper meanwhile warns Donna, Audrey and Shelly about Earle. Later on he sees Annie again; clearly they are now in love; she talks of entering the Miss Twin Peaks competition and suddenly the Giant appears to Cooper; vigorously gesturing to him in a way that suggests 'No!'

The tension continued to rise in this episode as Earle figures out the meaning of the petroglyphs... even if it is a bit of a coincidence that he is listening to the bug every time Cooper and the others discuss vital information in the Sheriff's office; of course this sort of thing happens because the plot demands that it does. There were some darkly comic laughs to be had when Leo gets his hands on the control to his shock collar but doesn't realise that he will be the one shocked when he presses it... several times! The biggest surprise of the episode came from Audrey Horne when she went to say goodbye to John Justice Wheeler... so much for her being the bad girl of the town! As the episode concludes we see a familiar person in the woods; a clear harbinger of dangers to come!

Lynch Isn't Perfect

Warning: Spoilers
When everything is so hush hush, why isn't it even considered that there may be a bug in the sheriff's office. Especially when it so obvious that Windom Earle seems to be a jump ahead. Can't they just take their conversations to a secure place? No, he needs to stay informed in the easiest way possible. Cooper's big time love affair, I fear, is a going to be doomed in some way. There is a comic scene when Leo, who has become the arm of Earle, tries to zap his boss, only to find he is zapping himself. If you want to see a similar bit, watch the episode of Cheers where Cliff Klaven (sp?) is trying to work on his boring behavior and sarcasm be getting zapped each time he transgresses. We continue the Miss Twin Peaks contest where the winner is the first loser. We are introduced to a metallic block that Catherine has in her possession after the magic box is demolished. And, of course, Earle, using truth serum on Garland, begins to put the petroglyphs together.

Warning: Spoilers
This was a really good episode full of some really great moments. There was a lot of tension through some very strange happenings, like the trembling hands, creepy imagery, and Ben seemingly encountering some mysterious person. There was quite a lot of the surreal stuff again, and it looks like BOB may well be out there in his actual form. It wouldn't surprise me if Windom Earle meets an untimely demise at his hands. Speaking of, I've actually really grown to like Earle; I believe he'd make a brilliant incarnation of The Master. This show, as I've mentioned plenty of times before, is filled with great characters. Even the Giant who definitely seems to look out for Cooper. Pete is an absolute favourite of mine, a really really heartwarming character. Mayor Milford is also brilliant. Major Briggs too. There were some very nice romantic moments in this episode, shared between Cooper and Annie, Bobby and Shelly, and even John and Audrey. It's looking like something really really bad is going to happen because there are too many very happy characters right now. This episode basically had tension right the way through, and now things are coming to a head

The Giant again
AvionPrince1630 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I still like the ambience of the episode, the mood also. We have Cooper who will try to find the black lodge but it seemed that Windom Earle is more able to find it and revealed that Earle was in fact here for the black lodge and not for Cooper and his revenge. Earle Kidnapp Briggs. Cooper get more and more in love and see the giant again who said no to him. Pretty weird for now. Lucy announce that she will announce who is the real father

So yeah im still curious about how they will end the season 2 and what will happened to Cooper, Briggs, Earle and how all the things will get back to normal at Twin Peaks. Good for now.

Bigfoot Disappointment

When I saw this for the first I thought it was perfect; only now, at its sixth or seventh viewing, I start to understand Lynch was really running out of inspiration with this one... it's just no longer interesting. So disappointing.
