hans-amstel-67-13748515 June 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Opening on a bottle shoot inside a saloon the culprit Jack is dragged out for a dunking and then home to be told by his politician brother Foster the Bonham family home is up for sale and that the Shiloh foreman is on his way to look over the property.

After a failed attempt to ward off the Virginian with a warning shot the bad Bonham boy Jack continues his belligerence by trying to cause trouble with a neighbor Joe Terry and his wife Eileen.

Jack argues with his sister in law and tells the Virginian he's not welcome then goes off to cause more trouble for the Terry family and it seems his blood is so bad that it's constantly on the boil!

Bonham family values
bkoganbing30 June 2018
This episode has The Virginian on a buying trip for Stewart Granger to see if the Bonham ranch is worth some money to purchase. It's owned by the brothers Bonham, William Windom and John Ericson. Windom wants to sell as he's moving up in the world, just got a temporary appointment to the US Senate, something he and wife Diana Muldaur have been lobbying for.

Ericson's a hellraiser and a drunk and the black sheep. When Jean Hale wife of Denny Miller one of the Bonham tenants is murdered everyone is thinking Ericson had to have done it. Everyone but Miller who because The Virginian had some history with Hale, he might be the culprit.

Now we know that can't be, but convince Miller.

Kudos go out to Sandy Kenyon who is as ineffectual a deputy left in charge while the marshal's away as you'll ever find.

Nice story with some good performances.
