"Barbarino in Love" is a two parter that sees the Sweathogs ready for the annual citywide talent competition, calling themselves Three Do's and a Don't, up against the comatose Blowfish Bigelow (Daniel Chodos). Their performance of "Jeepers Creepers" is truly a sight to see, John Travolta's falsetto getting a real workout with "Saturday Night Fever" set to be released next month, the just completed "Grease" ready for the summer of 1978. Winning the chance to compete for the state finals, Vinnie is congratulated by upstate winner Cassy (Amy Johnston), who rebuffs the ladies man in front of his fellow Sweathogs. In teaching him the art of being a gentleman, Cassy makes Vinnie forget all about Three Do's and a Don't, which greatly upsets his friends, especially when he insists that he can't compete with the girl he loves. Martin Garner appears as malt shop owner Lou Grapette, a setting that would reappear in future episodes.

Amy Johnston Steals The Show
angelsunchained8 February 2022
The beautiful Amy Johnston and John Travolta definitely had on screen chemistry. Travolta was in his prime and looked great. However Miss Johnston stole the two part episodes and it's amazing her career didn't take off. Sadly, in March 2021, she passed away at age 66.
