I Loved It
januszlvii1 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I have seen Robert Vaughn play a number of bad guys down through the years, and none of them were as evil as Billy Jack. Imagine goading a stranger into a fight, and killing him for the fun of it, and dropping the body off at his father's Russ Andrews ( Edmond O'Brien) home. Then he picked at Andrews in a store when he went into town, and of course, he did not like it when Andrews beats him up. It becomes a game of cat and mouse when Billy Jack goes to Andrews home with the intention of killing him and probably would have killed his wife and other son. Spoilers ahead: Of course, Andrews wins, but it is a combination of luck in finding a gun and Billy Jack's arrogance in giving Andrews a chance. I loved this episode and was happy the way Billy Jack got his. 10/10 stars

An unbelievable ending.

At the beginning of the episode, a farmer, Russ Andrews, comes out to meet two rides that is approaching the house. Unfortunately, they are bring Russ's dead son, Dan, back home where he died in a gunfight. But as we learn one of the riders that brought the body to the family is named Billy Jack (Robert Vaughn). He is the one that gun downed the farmer's son and tells the farmer that he will be in town if looking for trouble.

Russ wants to take revenge for the killing but his wife, Claire, doesn't want her husband to break his promise not to take up a gun. Claire has a problem with any type of gun and says that guns only lead to killing. But when Russ rides into town, Billy Jack starts prodding Russ into a fight.

Things get even controversial when Billy Jack comes out to the farm late one night with intentions of killing. He breaks into the house and ends up chasing the farmer to the barn. The killer is set for another notch on his gun.

The story was ideal but the way the episode came to an end was rather disappointing. It was a series of odd events that was TV magic. For such a good story, the ending was too unbelievable. I guess you can say, 'thanks goodness for the can goods'.

just utter garbage

Robert vaughn was not an actor just a bumbling trouble maker because he couldn't remember lines for a normal script so his parts were kept short and sweet on dialogue ... man from uncle indeed ...
