Our host Dick Powell stars in this episode, playing "John Fallon," a former gunfighter who has "reformed" and wants nothing to do with guns anymore. Catherine MacLeod plays his wife "Effie." She was a pretty woman, in a wholesome-looking way.
Much of this story is predictable because it's already not the first in which we have a story like this. Feature Western had similar theme with the good-guy eventually having to show his talent with a gun, albeit very reluctantly.
Anyway, in this cast is Emile Meyer ,another in a long list of very famous faces to those who watched a lot of TV shows. He plays "Kane Eldridge" here and he's a villain. That is no shock because Meyer had one of the nastiest faces ever seen on the screen. In fact, he looked downright brutal, so he was convincing in his bad-guy roles.
Note: Arthur Q. Bryan, who plays the proprietor, was the famous voice of "Elmer Fudd" of Warner Brothers cartoon fame. The year this episode came out - 1957 - was the last year Mr. Bryan did any dramatic roles. He died two years later at the age of 60 after suffering a heart attack.
