Bones:Two Bodies in the Lab
Scarecrow-887 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
There's that pivotal episode in a series where you know that a show is here to stay. We've seen the evolution in the relationship of Bones and Booth and when her life is threatened by a drive-by, their partnership moves to another level. Booth insists on watching after Bones until she solves the homicide of a mob kingpin which could be related to another mob family, the Romanos. Adam Baldwin guest stars as an FBI agent assigned to help Booth and Brennan due to his undercover work inside the Romano crime family. As the case progresses, Booth believes Bones life could be in danger due to a new type of forensic experiment Brennan has invented which could actually tie bullet markings to the holes in bone. Meanwhile Booth and Bones begin working on a case concurrent to the mob one(Baldwin's agent Kenton is to work with the Jeffersonian team on it) regarding a poor girl whose eyes were gouged out with something containing a certain kind of ridges. This case is eerily similar to one from Booth's past regarding a psychopath he couldn't uncover enough evidence to convict, Hollings(Greg Ellis). The girl was left to be eaten by a pack of starving dogs who were attracted to the scent of her blood opened by a gash used from a specific kind of knife. This episode features an explosion ignited from Brennan's refrigerator which nearly kills Booth. It also has a twist(I think, though, that some viewers will see it coming) with an interesting sense of irony in that Booth, in an act to protect Bones, accidentally puts her in harm's way when he has her stay with someone who could actually be using a frame-up to cover his tracks!

Amps Things Up

This episode has more action, more police stuff than others. Brennan is shot at as she approaches a restaurant to meet her computer date. It is obvious that a hit is in progress but she survives. This brings Booth into the picture as a protector and a serious love interest. He also shows his traditional view of romantic encounters and his disdain for the on-line dating thing. The gist of things is that those being investigated are mob victims and she comes in the crosshairs. We see a cute dance at Brennan's apartment when Booth finds a Foreigner CD in her collection. But the best part is the conclusion when we get to see the love they have for each other, though they are holding back.

A great one

The case per se is not that great. I just liked Adam Baldwin appearing together with Boreanaz again lol And best part is the conntection between Booth and Bones. How they were sweet together at her apartment singing and dancing to Foreigner. At first she gets shy unconfortable but soon she's right there with him just having fun.

The last scene was sweet as well.. her canceling her date to stay with him.. these scenes.. these moments... little by little we were presented with moments like may it be when they saved each other or just cared for the other and developed their beautiful relationship.

Awesome!

I have to say I love when people from previous shows come together on another project. I have enjoyed David's work since BTVS, and then Angel. I laughed when I saw who was playing Hodgins, because he was a lawyer on Angel who was seen two or three times. In this episode, Adam Baldwin, who was the creepy liaison on Angel is doing a guest spot! He's creepy in this one too, but I love to see the old cast members in a new series. Can we possibly hope that Sarah Michelle Gellar or one of her Buffy cohorts might make an appearance? That would be a dream come true! The chemistry between David and Emily is palpable, and I am on the edge of my seat anytime something remotely romantic happens, as in this episode. Now if only Zack got a love interest, things would really be flying at the Jeffersonian! I miss Jonathan Adams, but Tamara Taylor is a great addition!

Hey Bones Booth!

I love this episode the dynamic between Bones and Booth is so sweet. Alot of action so happy that Booth was okish after the fridge blew up (obviously they wouldn't kill a main character in season 1). The deaths were interesting this week creepy but good. The lines " You actually have a knight in shining FBI standard issue body armor" from Angela and "Hodgins toy car" from Booth were so amazing lol.

Excellent!

If you are a fan of the romance of Booth and Bones, this is definitely an episode to watch!

They are actually working on two separate cases: A mob boss's body is found and a young woman's tortued body is found. Booth has a detective friend helping him on this case. Also, Brennan has a blind date and Booth is not happy!

After Brennan is shot, Booth won't let her out of his sight. He also interrogates her blind date in a way that can only be determined as jealousy. Until he knows who's out to kill her, Booth won't let Brennan out of his sight. He announces that he will be spending the night with her (on her couch, of course), and I guess it does end up being a bit of a hero/romantic thing when he is hurt instead of her.

But while in the hospital, Booth puts Brennan into even more danger and has to use Hodgin's help to get to Brennan before she is killed.

We see their first hug, and the closing end shows just how close the two have grown.

Very, very, very well done!
