Warning: Spoilers
'Shadow of Fear' plays by the standard formula: Spectrum launches an operation, the Mysterons take over someone involved, commence sabotage. What makes this stand out is the actual ploy; Spectrum lands a satellite on one of Mars' moons to spy on the Mysterons. It's a bold attempt to gain the upper hand in the battle. Another plus is the Himalayan observatory; jutting out of the side of the mountain, it looks like the lair of a Bond villain. The Himalayas sets are also well done; equally impressive is the destruction of said model.

The strategy is part of a longer operation, which goes ahead despite this setback. It lends an optimistic note to a downbeat loss.

6/10.
