One of the worst episodes I've ever seen

Seriously! What were the writers thinking? Or better yet, smoking? "Oh, let's do an episode where Grandpa tries to kill himself!"

Why?

Just why?

Another thing that bothered me about this episode was the Down Syndrome joke.

No.

NO!

This is The Simpsons, you don't do that. In South Park and Family Guy, it's okay to do it, because those were intentionally offensive shows made for an adult audience.

The Simpsons can go a little too far at times, but this is just too much.

This episode was bad, I couldn't even finish it.

You know an episode is bad when it opens with Maggie babbling and subtitles appear on the screen.

French version > all others

Even Matt groaning admit it in an interview, I wish you could all speak and understand french, because the voice of Grand pa Simpsons is just legend wait for it.. dary ! Legendary Every time he speak its just the most Funny thing ever, same with Homer. But in original version, grand pa voice is just not really Funny and it does change the whole character Unfortunately.

So yes you might rate this episode 6.3/10 and you might be right, but in the french version every Grand pa Simpson episode is 8/10 minimum, Comedy Greatest is in the voices.

It's unfortunate to see someone like Abraham Simpson suffer and try to attempt suicide. Fortunately, he was lucky that the procedure was aborted. And so forth, Abe was able to redeem himself, albeit through bullfighting, which Lisa Simpson disapproves of. But, he took Lisa's advice eventually, until in the sky, they were surrounded and presumably beaten by hull as the screan rolls into credits.
