Things begin to hatch from their respective chrysalis. The boss has a plan, full processing.
It's a brilliant final episode, it's been a really cohesive story, with a definite start, development and conclusion, wonderful writing, with all characters playing their part, and nobody sidelined. A particularly good story for Captain Yates, Sergeant Benton is as amusing as ever. It's a good send off story for Jo, although I never cared for the way the wrote her out, she'd have never gone off with him, although her last scene with Jon is gorgeous. Jerome Willis is terrific once again as Stevens, his last scene is poignant, the look on his face, very underrated performance.
When people talk about story arcs, they forget that sometimes the classic series had them, fitting that the famous blue crystal would have such a massive impact in Pertwee's last story, Planet of Spiders.
Nice production values again, the maggots look awesome, even the flies look half decent.
It's been a fantastic six part story, this last part is awesome. It's iconic in the show's rich history. 10/10
